FMA LiveTweet

So, on Tumblr there's this thing, called liveblogging. While you read a book, you blog about your thoughts on certain things, showing via pictures, or typing out quotes that stick out to you. This can be you praising a book, or hating on it. I've enjoyed the few I've seen so far, and decided to try it while reading Fullmetal Alchemist Volumes 1-10 by Hiromu Arakawa.

And then Tumblr stating I'd exceeded my post limit for the day. And there was something like, 3-4 hours left before I could blog anything again. Which was extremely annoying. Since I'd never heard of anything of the sort on Twitter, I took it over there, redoing my first post. However, since it's Twitter, there was the problem of the 140 character limit. I had to keep things short and sweet, and at first had trouble fitting my thoughts with the images. But I managed it pretty well, and livetweeted all ten volumes. I've gathered all the tweets up, saved all the pictures, and now I'm going to show them all to you.

Now there were typos and grammar mistakes I couldn't fix due to the limit, but I've gone through and hopefully fixed them all. Let me know if you find any!

There are a few spoilers here, so if you don't want some info (though I tried not to spoil you guys) then don't read!

Remember, this was also during #AYearAThon last month, which was about diversity, so I talk about that. :)

Day 2 started off with me ranting a bit about the problems in the official translation, especially when put up against the fan translations online for free.

Those were all of my tweets! I loved rereading FMA, even with the translation problems. It was a blast, and really reminded me of first, the privileges I have just by my skin color, and having the ability to walk. It really is an amazing manga. Edward is such an awesome character. He's disabled, a master fighter, a scientific genius, badass. And he's just one of the many amazing characters. I adore this manga, and rereading it has only deepened my love. :)

My Week(s) in Pics ~6/30 - 7/21~

Hey Guys!

OMG it's been CRAZY! NEVER doing two read-a-thons back to back again! BookTube-A-Thon almost killed me! Friday I had several mental breakdowns and ended up just crying and trying to not punch people!

BUT I have pictures! I did take quite a few, so here they are!

Yeah I get this.

Soo, before the read-a-thon's got started I had to wake up early...and my alarm clock went off at about 3 times it's normal volume. And if you didn't know, I tend to dream about fighting and having to fight for my life. So that's what I was dreaming about when a rock song came on at 3x's the sound level. I fell out of bed. I'm not sure how, only that I found myself on the floor with this righteous bruise forming. I still have it. TWENTY DAYS LATER!!!! And this pic does NOT do it justice, it was all tie-dye and every few hours the colors would change. Now it's barely there but I can still feel it. o.o'

I kept my strength up during the read-a-thons by eating healthy! And this cookie cereal from Kroger (Fry's here) is actually not bad for you! Maybe it is if you eat as much of it as I have, but still. Yummy yummy deliciousness!

So on Pinterest I have reach over 400 followers! WOW! To all, seriously thank you! I'm glad you like all my randomness!!!

The same day I also got up and headed out with Ray to see Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier! I really loved it, and now LA is (of course) making a new fanfic separate from Darkness There and Nothing/Edge of Darkest Devotion. It's really good, at least the first chapter is, so I suggest you head over to her fanfiction page and check it out!

So yesterday I realized that my BookTube-A-Thon Wrap Up was nothing but blurry, so I had to refilm it. Then I decided to film several other things. This was the makeup look I did for the last video. Crazy and a little out there, I'd never wear this out (unless it was a great party or something). Any ideas on what it was I filmed? HINT: I read it during BookTube-A-Thon!

Megan's 1st Vid and On My Shelf Videos + #AYearAThon Update

Hey guys!!!

So thanks to monsoon season, I've been having trouble being online for a whole day *crosses fingers cuz today's been pretty good*. That means I've cut back everything, including posting videos!

During storms I barely managed to get up Megan's first video, her doing the First Sentence Challenge! She did pretty good, better than even the creator of the challenge, kimberleyreads!

This video also proves that me, Ravyn or LA Knight, and IK Scott SUCK at counting! Oh man, we're so hopeless! ALL THREE VIDEOS we were SO off with our scores! But with this video, we do have a virdict of which of the three of us did the best with this challenge!

IK Scott (Megan) will have more videos, and she wants them all on my channel. I edited this one, but LA Knight's doing the rest. If they come at all. I think I'll post them towards the beginning of each month, and if Ray can't get them done fast enough I'll just take over.






I filmed this video a while back, but didn't post it because I was filming like a maniac back then. You can tell from how my shelves are just how old it is. I was supposed to upload something else earlier, but the formerly mentioned storms really hindered things. And the other video was just out of date. I'm going to refilm it and get it up in the future, but not right now.

I'm also ill right now, battling a pretty nasty cold. I'm feeling better right now than I have in a while, but Monday and Tuesday I was down. I laid for hours in my be Monday night, trying to sleep, but I couldn't. My body was so sick it wouldn't let me! So if this seems a little off in the editing, I was sick while doing this!






Because of the storms I'm uploading only twice a week. Honestly I do enjoy this schedule more, giving me a rest to just read and do other things instead of constantly worrying about being on time with my videos.

This week is #AYearAThon, and this illness isn't making things easier. I gave up reading Sense and Sensibility for now because my pounding head combined with difficult language made it terribly hard to read. I've moved onto The Two Towers. Speaking of which, I need to get back to read that, so that's enough for now.

Oh, and My Week in Pics isn't coming this week. I'm sick, not much to see, except the amazing disappearing tissue paper!

So, I'm not very good at sticking with not doing something. Seriously, not.

Which is why I decided to do this post no matter what! I guess I'll just do what I've been doing, and just post them sometimes. :)

That's what I've been up to! Okay, it's just from last week, since I wasn't taking pictures very much. I'll be better, I promise!

But as the title says, this isn't just about my week in pics, it's also my debut of my latest video, which is my #AYearAThon July Announcement!

This month the theme is Classics. I haven't had much success with reading classics. Pretty much if it's labeled a classic I don't like it. Things Fall Apart, The Count of Monte Cristo, The Scarlet Letter. All of these I had to read in school and I hated with a passion. So if it's called a classic, I avoided it, even if I liked the movie adaptation (I learned Hollywood is good at making them look better on screen with Count of Monte Cristo). But I decided to at least try and bought a classic, and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare at the library sale. Also decided that The Lord of the Rings is close enough to classics for me to reread them, or at least try. I'm close to the end of The Fellowship of the Ring and will be finishing that.

#AYearAThon Wrap Up Videos

Hey guys!

So I've been lazy (what else is new?) and haven't posted for YOU guys what happened with #AYearAThon.

I finished books 2-8 of 1/2 Prince by Yu Wo. And the epilogue RUINED the series for me. SERIOUSLY, it's the WORST ending to a book I've EVER read! Feng Lan is WORSE TEN YEARS LATER than she is at the beginning! I don't mind who she ends up with, or the fact that the guys still fight every times they see each other (it's accurate to the characters and hilarious to boot), but SERIOUSLY. Making GUI get pregnant because she's LAZY!?! The random comments with NO explanation, the great plot point that's ignored!!! I'm done. I'm not touching anything else from the author, nor am I picking up Sequel, the companion novel to the series (much like Desert Tales for Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr).

And this is overlooking the gore of the final battle (seriously I was SO nauseous! DX ) and the random cruel malice that pops up in only one instance during the final battle from the MC. Nope. DONE.

But I still had two days of #AYearAThon left! I said in the video I decided to read Titan AE by Steve and Dal Perry, the novelization of the movie. I do like the movie, but I love the book. I thought of giving it to a friend, but nope, totally keeping it! Though she can TOTALLY borrow it, but it's mine! (We'll find another copy.)

Oh, and I spoke with and got an autograph from Dia Frampton, who was the opener (her group ROCKED!) and sang We Are Giants on Lindsey's album!

#AYearAThon Finish/Catch Up on a Series Read-A-Thon (vids)

Hey guys!

I know I haven't been posting as usual. Part of it is indeed YouTube, though mostly it's been a read-a-thon from a Goodreads.com group called #AYearAThon. The first full week of each month everyone in the group does a read-a-thon with a certain theme. April's read-a-thon was rereading a series. This month was finish or catch up on a series you own.

While it ended on Sunday, I decided to share the videos I posted here, as well as let you all know that my camera broke! I dropped it like a knucklehead while handing it off to my friend while it was on, and the lens was sticking out. The lens broke, and now I'm not positive how I'm gonna film. I currently have Ray's (LA Knight's) camera, but I doubt I can use it before she needs it back.

Anywho, this is the wrap up I filmed on my cell phone (so it's not the greatest) which is a break down of what I read each day, and my total page count. Apparently I was one of the largest readers in the group. Mostly because I'm unemployed and don't have much of a life, lol.

My Week(s) in Pics ~4/19 - 5/2~ + #AYearAThon Video

So I finally got enough pictures to post this! It isn't a lot, as I've been so busy and I haven't been taking many pictures, but I do have some. So here they are!

This is really blurry, but it's my ticket to see Lindsey Stirling here in Tucson! Can't wait for the 26th. I'll get to hear Shatter Me live! :D

This ones even more blurry, but it's my ticket to see Divergent! Big thanks to Mrs. M-D for taking me, Ray and Megan to see it. I haven't read the book, because I wasn't sure I'd like it. I loved the movie. It's now on my TBR. :)

This picture is of my greatest memory. After years of death threats and beatings for being a kid, me and my brother got to go to Disneyland. Most kids scream and run around when they hear. I don't remember my exact reaction, but that wasn't it. I was too serious from all the pain I felt every second of every day. Walking through those gates...I'm tearing up. That was the best thing for me in the summer when I got away from that terrible school. My parents want this picture blown up and framed. So do I. Best memory in my life, right here.

Guess what? We went book shopping! All told, we got about 200+ books! The car was so packed, since we didn't have access to the trunk (it's sealed shut, and we can't get in without dropping lots of mulla), I had books on and under my feet, as well as my lap. It was crazy and FUN! Ray got a TON, but they didn't have most of what I wanted. -_-

GUESS WHO REPLIED TO MY TWEET THE NIGHT HER ALBUM CAME OUT!?! YES! LINDSEY STIRLING!!!! Can you tell I'm excited? this was AWESOME!!!
