HAPPY HALLOWEEN! My Weeks in Pics ~10/12 - 10/31~

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

My fav holiday is here! But while the kiddos are running amok tonight, me and my girls celebrated last Saturday. And instead of doing a special Halloween post like last year, I'm gonna do a special VIDEO, so make sure your subscribed to my YouTube Channel to see it tonight at 7 PM PST!

Anywho, onto what I've done the rest of this month! (Told you I'd be better at doing these!)

I went shopping and picked up a few things. The only thing of note from one shopping trip is the adorable owl chapstick from Forever 21. Not the greatest chapstick, but IT'S SO CUTE! ><
And then I was watching ke-sha Forsaken's book haul where she hauled The Blood of Olympus, and I had to have it. Also had to junk food, because I have the self discipline of a squirrel when it comes to sweets.

I fangirled hard when I found out WhittyNovels was following me on Tumblr.

Halloween decorations started in my room at the beginning of the month, so I could film with it, as well as just look at it. Favorite month and holiday, of course my room is glowing with pumpkins, owls, and whatever else I found at Target. :)

Me and my girls celebrated Halloween already by eating enough junk food for an army (seriously, Ray bought a laundry basket FULL of food!!!!)
Megan was The Tardis from Dr. Who, Ray is dressed as Thea on her date with Loki from her fanfic Darkness There, and Nothing, and I was a knight. I had to pull everything together in less than a day because of a family emergency that had me in Phoenix for about a week.

Went shopping again, picked up some more makeup, as well as Taylor Swift's 1989, Target Deluxe Edition. IT'S AMAZING! I've listened to the whole album about 30 times already, and I picked it up THIS WEEK!

While getting my cd, I found these romance novels. They're so corny, I had to take a picture to chuckle at :D

Had to save this picture from Tumblr. It's a post about reading, and how we need to accept each other and stop judging what others read. Then LA Knight, Ray, reblogged it with those tags. HILARIOUS! :D

Now for my home Halloween decorations. There's a lot, and it took 3 days (mostly because I kept putting some of it off, lol)

This is what the front entryway looks like, just waiting for Trick or Treaters! I have to admit, I do more inside than outside, but that's cuz I don't want grabby little ones to steal the adorable stuffed animals! The hand made witch by my Aunt Jean is with the teddy bears on my dresser sitting in the hallway. My current one is barely functioning, so I needed a new one, this one was free, but I'm dying to fix it up to look cool. When that happens I'll let ya'll know because my room will look very different :)
The reason I have a grim reaper on the other little table that's always sat by the door, in this house and our previous one, is because it's too scary for little ones. More than one parent was holding a little boy or girl in tears when I put it up last, so for the past 2 or so years it's been on the table, so the bigger kids can see it, bu the little ones can't.
And then just some pumpkins my grandfather gave to me (randomly he came home with 7 of them for me!) as well as a few other things are right by the door.

I told you we're lacking in the outside decor! Our door's simple this year because a. can't use the door hanging we have and b. last time I used fake webbing it was full of ants! Had to toss it. So our big spider, my "Are you a good witch or a bad witch?" hanging sign, and a witch picture are all I have to work with.
To light the path for the little ones I have some purple lights (I really need more, only got 1 box ><) as well as a pumpkin sign thingy that we were randomly gifted. And of course, our Trick or Treat giant bows are hanging form out lights outside, as well as our wooden bats are in our tree. I may put up the ghosty, but I haven't a clue where to put him...

Welp, that's it! I'm ready for tonight...mostly. We have a light up pumpkin by the door, but the lights went out, so I need to hit up Walmart down the road for more.

Oh, and if you saw that my car broke down, it was a loose hose. We just put it back on, filled up the radiator, and now it's fine! So I need to get dressed and head to Wallyworld.

Have a fun Halloween!

AND, for something spooky, I'll just post this video here, because it's my fav this time of year!

Monthly Favorites ~June 2014~

The month of June has passed, so you know what that means: FAVORITES TIME!!!

There are some clear winners here, so let's get started!

BOOK

Divergent by Veronica Roth
So I finally picked this up (and I now own it!) and fell in love. Well, I fell in love with the movie, which is just like the book. Great book to movie adaptation!

MOVIE

City of Bones
This is another great book to movie adaptation. Okay, not great, more like really well done. There's 1 scene that bugs me, when they freeze the demons they just move past them, instead of killing them, which would've saved lives. -_-'

TV SHOW

Sherlock Season Three
So I finally saw the final episode this month, and got my girls to see it too! It's so amazing! Can't wait for season four!!!

YOUTUBE VIDS

Always #LikeAGirl by Always
This video challenges the insult "like a girl." That's insulting to every girl and woman on the planet. I love Always decided to challenge that. Although it's not the first time I heard that, Disney channel did it about 10 years ago with an original movie of theirs.

Not Sorry #ShineStrong by Pantene
Another video that went viral the week before #LikeAGril, this video points out a universal truth that's held women back in a lot of ways. Women are very good at apologizing for nothing, usually for just being there. Which makes no sense. I've heard it over and over again, that women are holding themselves back from promotions, raises and other things they need because of this random habit of apologizing. I've told my friends, and been told before to not apologize when there's nothing to apologize for.

Both of these videos should be viewed by men and women alike, especially the first one.

YOUTUBERS

I've got three of them, so here we go!

ke-sha Forsaken
Ke-sha is one of the moderators for #AYearAThon, and since I posted my first video she's been watching my channel. We have very different tastes in books, which I think only adds variety to BookTube. She's funny, honest, totally herself on camera. I really enjoying watching her, so ya'll should subscribe! And I totally consider her my first YouTube friend!

Elizziebooks
ElizzieBooks runs BookTube News, a helpful weekly series about the new things on YouTube, and a blog on tumblr! I've been featured on her tumblr quite a few times myself, and have found more than 1 awesome video or BookTuber thanks to that awesome series. I especially love how all her videos end: "Remember to Keep Reading."

WhittyNovels

Whitney is a 16 year old from Texas whose YouTube channel has just exploded. When I subscribed she had about 3000 followers, which has grown to about 12,000! And for a good reason - she's hilarious and fun to watch! She's so smart and reads whatever she feels like, not just because it's popular (although that too). Obsessed with Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi (the author actually knows her, she's that obsessed), she started vlogging about books shortly after she discovered just how awesome they really are. A great person to watch, and I suggest you follow her tumblr, if only for her random pictures of her freaking out in bookstores. :D

MUSIC

Katy Perry - Prism (album)
(In Particular) By The Grace of God
The last week of June I just fell in love with this album. I just decided I wanted to hear all of it, and while I don't listen to all of it, on my Spotify playlist you can see what tracks from the album (it's most of it) I love. My favorite is definitely By The Grace of God. Such a beautiful song!

Timeflies ft. Katie Sky - Monsters
This song is incredibly personal to me, as it represents how I feel with my depression and anxiety are at their worst. I think I hate everyone and can't trust anyone. I feel unworthy of love. But I have people in my life, one person in particular, who are just like Katie Sky's part in the song, telling me that they know it's the depression and anxiety, not me. That it's okay and they'll help me battle my demons, my monsters, and refuse to let them win. This battle is very real, and hits me every few days. And I'm not the only one. Lots of my friends deal with this issue. I hope that I'm someone they can count on too.

Pentatonix - Love Again
This song is AMAZING! And as you can see from the picture, so is the video! But since my computer is used and sometimes barely works, I listen mostly on Spotify, where it's been on repeat all month! I can't help, no matter what, to stop and just rock out. Very helpful when Movie Maker keeps freezing (like it has today -_-+ ).

That's my June favorites! Have you discovered a song you can't get out of your head, or a new friend?

My Week(s) in Pics ~5/3 - 5/23~

Another thing I haven't posted in My Weeks in Pics! I'm sorry guys! Weekends are officially hectic, except for Sunday evenings, but as I've stated a million times, I don't post anything, ANYTHING, to do with work on Sundays. I don't write, edit, film, post, reply to comments, blog, nada that day. I never have, and never will. Sundays are special from midnight to midnight. I even limit what I watch, read, and listen to.

With that said, I do have quite a few pictures, so LETS GET STARTED!!!

First let's talk about something from APRIL! I couldn't find these pictures for the longest time! This is when me and David were at the County Fair at the end of April. We only rode two rides because the lines were HUGE, but it was still fun. Although a dude randomly screaming at this crying girl was hard to see. What a dick. Anywho, this first pic is of the swings I wanted to ride, but we couldn't fit it in. The next was G Force, the first ride we went on. I screamed pretty much the whole time. It was a blast. (Sorry for the blurriness, I only had my cell, which, as you can see, SUCKS at pics)

Chriselle Lim followed me on twitter! OMG, I fangirled so much! She's a pro stylist, works with huge brands, wears designer brands, even went to fashion week more than once! And she (or her team, same thing!) followed little old me! XD
*fangirling again*

This is why I read, and why I love it so much that I not only do videos about it, but write too! :D

Angel was behind my dad, so she was in heaven. Although sometimes if I so much as look at her, she flips out. It's rather hilarious.

FINALLY got some new shoes! My old ones had holes! I'm currently wearing them, and they're SO comfy! Just over $30 for Sketchers. Not bad, eh? Ross! The facial wash is nice, and those wipes! LOVE them! Cleanse and hydrate all at once!

I always have to save when big YouTubers, such as the amazing Michelle Phan reply to me! In case you don't know, Michelle has done so much in her life, and just got an honorary degree from her college a few weeks ago, and she thanks me for congratulating her. Trust me, she deserves the congrats for everything she's done. I totally look up to her!

jessethereader, one of the biggest BookTubers also replied to me! I subscribed, watched this vid, answered his question, and he replied in less than 5 minutes! Wow! #Honored

Cassandra Clare answered fan questions about her upcoming novel, City of Heavenly Fire. My bestie, Ray asked a serious question, and got a serious reply! This is just part of the huge answer Cassandra answered. While I'm not a fan of the last three of her Mortal Instruments Series, it can't be said she doesn't take her fans seriously, and doesn't serious think out her characters. Check here to see the whole interview.

My twitter is on fire lately! BookTubers have replied, favorited, and WhittyNoves--witney! on Twitter--even subscribed! In 1 week I gained 4 subscribers, and just today another one. If I sound like I'm bragging, I'm sorry, because I'm not. I'm honored by every view, favorite, reply and subscriber. I'm posting this as a giant THANK YOU! I love you guys! Thanks so much!

That was my past few weeks! I've got a haul coming up tonight, so subscribe to my YouTube to see them on time, and even more awesomeness has happened in the past few days.

Love you guys! Have a great week!
