Update May 2019

What's up, y'all?

Me, I've been busy doing much of nothing, BUT! I am planning on heading to Phoenix Comicon, which is not comicon anymore which is confusing. I mean, it's okay to change the name but PLEASE stop changing it! First it was Comic Fest, then Fan Fest, now Fan Fusion and I'm just gonna stick with Phoenix ComiCon, cuz that's a hell of a lot easier than picking through the names to see which one they pulled out of a hat this time.

Anywho, me, LA Knight, IK Scott, and 5007 will all be heading out to party like nerds for 4+ days in costumes and whatnot.

Other than that I've been mostly reading and watching Supernatural. I didn't expect to become obsessed with this show, but I guess it's the longest running fantasy/sci fi show of all time for no reason (not in terms of time that's Dr. Who, but in episodes. Ther'es more Supernatural to watch than any other show of it's type in the world). I only have a few more seasons before I've caught up in time for the final season.

Other than that life's been pretty boring. I missed the chance to meet one of my favorite authors of all time in March, Anne Bishop, who is the author of The Black Jewels series and The Others series, two series I love. Sadly due to illness I couldn't take time off of work without risking my job.

I hope y'all have had a better time.

I haven't been writing either, thanks to my busted computer. It turns on but I can't do jack diddly on the thing thanks to a full harddrive, which makes no sense as I've uninstalled everything I possible can, and I have 0 files stored on it. I can't even get a program to wipe the harddrive to work, it's so messed up.

*insert growl of frustration here*

I can't find a place to take it to because it's so broken I can't do it myself. It's really hella frustrating.

Wow, this is turning into a rant.

But yeah, I will probably post on here about ComiCon in June, as it's at the end of this month.

I hope y'all check it out and stick with me.

W.i.t.c.h. The Full Story: Part II Chapter 7 - Yan Lin

So I've been getting requests for another chapter of Witch the Full Story. Last night, I lost internet, phone, and cable so I decided, might as well. So here's the new chapter where we see what young Yan Lin can do. :)

Chapter 7
Yan Lin
Meridian

The former Guardian could not count the times she had done this in her life time. Too many of her friends had been imprisoned here and died here. Too many failed attempts at freeing the innocent had taken place here.
But that was a long time ago.
And now, these children were lax.
The second Yan Lin passed through the portal it slammed shut right behind her. She flew as fast as she could and hid behind a pillar some 200 yards away. There she crouched and waited. No one came.
Yan didn’t know whether to feel extremely lucky or insulted.
Better to do this without being noticed, since I have no back up.
Pain shot through her at the thought, but she shoved it away. Being young again obviously made her weak to old emotional wounds. She realized that she wasn’t in the dungeon just yet. Instead she’d landed near the guards’ barracks outside the castle itself. There ways to go, and little time to act.
She gripped the Heart.
Where? She inquired of glowing gem.
Down came the reply.
She started to move out of her hiding spot when a gruff laugh froze her.
“Don’t think I’ve ever seen Vathek so happy about letting a rebel starve to death,” one guard’s deep bass rumbled. “I mean, he normally enjoys doing something more… Painful. I mean, just letting him die in the southern oubliette? That’s not….”
As they’re voices faded away Yan thanked the Creator for stupid gossips. Now she knew where he was. She only needed to figure out where the southern oubliette was.
It was almost like a game of tag, except everyone else didn’t know they were playing. She jumped from hiding spot to hiding spot searching for a hole in the dark. Several times she was sure she had been spotted by the guards but the rebels had not broken into the palace itself for over half a century. The guards knew that problems would only come from the prisoners, and they were treated so badly that within the first two days all resistance was crushed.
Yan learned everything she needed to from the gossiping guards who kept trying to one-up each other. His name was Kaleb, and descended from rebels. His father had been one of the two leaders who had rebuilt the rebellion after Nerissa’s betrayal. He wasn’t a leader, but had some information of value. Turned out he was tough. No matter what they did to him, even when they killed a child right in front of him, he never gave in. He spat, kick like a mule, a cursed them through it all. Nothing subdued him.
Yan grinned as she flew through the labyrinth. It was an honor to meet someone that tough. Cassidy had been that tough. Yan hoped Will was that tough. She suspected the redhead was.
Time is short, the heart informed her. Go, and I will tell you if it is wrong.
She thanked the Heart, and started to move.
“Hey!”
Yan jumped. She’d let her guard down as she reminisced.
“Intruder!” The Guldon sounded the alarm.
Time to reveal thyself. Attack and keep moving.
Yan didn’t hesitate to summon a blast of hurricane wind that tossed the guards around like paper. She opted for speed over stealth and moved a tornado through the barracks and down to the prison below. Now it was a guessing game. Being underground bottled up the win which was her guide, so her sense of direction was gone. She had to pick a direction and let the Heart correct her.
I doubt you will give me a hint?
Down.
So very helpful.
Despite her flying in basically circles for a bit she moved quickly, flying at close to top speed, down stairs and in and out of corridors filled with screaming and crying and dead prisoners. Yan did her best to ignore those she couldn’t save, focusing instead on finding the one boy who would perhaps ends this suffering. She also ignored the guards, who couldn’t keep up with her. By the time she was down to the third level they were everywhere.
Yan had started training at 10 years old to be the new generation of Guardians, as each had before her, until her generation was broken with betrayal. Her winds shielded her from arrows, reflecting them back onto the archers, buffeting those with nets and weighted chains into each other’s aim, knocking those with spears into walls and their companions. She quickly blew through them onto the fourth level.
The prisoners soon caught onto what was happening, and began to help her. They tripped up and strangled what guards they could reach, shouting jeers and cheers at the guards and her in turn. The din made it harder for them to find her, and they were distracted beating back the prisoners rather than focusing on her. She made her way deeper and deeper until the Heart called to her again.
This level.
She began flying. It told her when she missed the turns, when to turn right or left. Certain she was going in circles she flew on until…
You passed it, go back.
When she reached the previous corridor lined with cells, the Heart informed her it was here. She landed and walked into the dark until the Heart called a halt.
You stand above him now.
Wishing that Halinor was there to light the chamber, she fell to her knees, and began feeling the floor for the edge of the lid to the hole they’d stuck Kaleb in. The thunder of feet and roar of the guards grew closer.
I need light.
The Heart lit up brilliant, and saw she the trapdoor immediately. As the pink stone’s light faded, she called to her power and used it to carry her voice down into the stinking pit below.
“KALEB! MOVE AWAY FROM THE CENTER! I’M GETTING YOU OUT!”

She waited as long as she dared. Praying that he was not curled up beneath her, she summoned air, compressing it into a small ball, flew up to the ceiling, and then threw it. It crumbled and fell into the darkness. Still praying he still lived, she fell down into the darkness below.

All Hallows Eve (Poem)

So an anonymous request came in on my Tumblr for me to write a poem about October or Halloween. I took the challenge and this came out. It's not along my normal poems (word vomit seems a good description) but I quite like it.

Here's All Hallows Eve!

The wind has changed
A chill is sneaking
Creeping upon you
Crawling through your clothes

Children’s laughter echoes
Dancing among the trees
Catching in the leaves
Twisting in the brisk air

Sweets tickle your nose
Enticing your senses
While the moaning wind
Reminds you

To watch in the dark
And keep your door locked tight

After all
Tis the season

Of All Hallows Eve

My Month in Pics ~February 2015~

So it's been a week or so, but here's my February!

Starting things off with a cute kitty! Mighty was randomly in the computer room off and on all month. When he was slightly awake he hated my music and would bail, but one day he just chilled for like, 2 hours. Looking adorable like this. :)

It was Gem Show month! I was excited and scared because I was in charge of getting us registered, and went with first my mom and then my besties! (Just realized I'm missing my green kitty watch...WHOOPS!) I had a ton of fun and love the owl necklaces (and yes, the necklace on the left is also a watch)

My Tumblr has exploded. I gain at least 5 followers a week. It's crazy and blows me away to see it climb every day or two. And one day I opened up my activity and found 175 notes in the span of about 4-6 hours. That's insane! I'm very grateful for every follower, cuz I didn't know anyone on Tumblr except 1 person when I started my blog, and knew no one in the Booklr community, so all of them/you are amazing!!!

I sometimes pause my videos while editing and get faces like this. Yeah, don't know what I was doing...

I had to share that tag. Too funny and really accurate.

Another funny post from Tumblr that I had to share. Cuz that's how I feel. Not how everyone feels, but that would be me. :)

So those were all the pics from February! Hope you enjoyed!

Music Favorites of 2014

Okay, in case you guys don't know, I'm a HUGE audiophile, which means I'm obsessed with music. I find time without music distracting and hard to think in. I need music to read, write, and do basic tasks. I want it quiet when I do spiritual stuff, and sleep, that's it. So of course, I listen to a LOT of it. And that means I have a lot of favorites, at least 3 songs every month, if not entire albums with a bonus song.

Before I get started, here's what Spotify has to say!

My Spotify 2014 stats ARE:
Top Genre - Pop
Top Artist - Katy Perry
                2. Megan Nicole
                3. Lindsey Stirling
                4. Demi Lovato
                5. Pentaonix
Top Album: Prism by Katy Perry
                2. Demi by Demi Lovato (not a 2014 release, can't be in MY top)
                3. Prism Deluxe by Katy Perry (don't ask me why it's stated as different)
                4. PTX, Vol. 2 by Pentatonix
                5. RECHARGED by Linkin Park
Top Playlist: Go Girl (big surprise)
Top Ten Tracks:
                1. A Light That Never Comes by Linkin Park
                2. Shatter Me by Lindsey Stirling ft. Lizzy Hale
                3. Dark Horse by Katy Perry
                4. Love Again by Pentatonix
                5. Problem by Ariana Grande
                6. Mmm, Yeah by Austin Mahone ft. Pitbull
                7. Let It Go by Idina Menzel
                8. Nightingale by Demi Lovato
                9. Really Don't Care by Demi Lovato
                10. Let It Go Armin Van Buuren Remix by Idina Menzel

Remember, these stats do go into my final choices, but not all count. If it didn't come out this year, whether as a single or on an album, it can't count. So all Demi songs are out.

NOW! Let's talk about albums! I had about 7 albums that I constantly were listening to that were new this year. So I have a top five. Sort of.

NUMBER 5

Theophany - Time's End
This is a fan remix of Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask remixes up for free HERE! I haven't really stopped listening to it since I got it!

Taylor Davis - Melodies of Hyrule
I stumbled upon a song from this album, found it on Spotify, and been obsessed ever since! It isn't 5 or 10 songs, but more than TWENTY! WOW! It's really well done, and because I couldn't choose between the two, they tie at number 5.
Told you it was 5, mostly.

NUMBER 4

Katy Perry - Prism
There's a reason Spotify named this my number 1. Not because it has the most songs I adore, in fact it's the only one where I don't play the entire thing. HOWEVER what I love is AMAZING! She's one of the two artists to have TWO tracks in my top 20, and she deserves it. What I like are smashes, and I listened to it off and on all year long.
BTW, I list it because while it came out in 2013, I heard it for the first time last year.

NUMBER 3

Lindsey Stirling - Shatter Me
THIS ALBUM IS AMAZING!!!! From the first single to the last song, it's blown me away. Lindsey is one of my favorite artists of all time, and this album did NOT disappoint. The title track is so well done, and so many others are just fantastic.

NUMBER 2

Taylor Swift - 1989
This just made the number one album of the year in terms of sales, and it barely didn't make it my number one, which I'll explain later. Every song is better than the last, and while I do skip one track, that's not because it's not brilliant, it is. It's just my kind of sound.
Come on, Taylor changed genres, her album's look, tons of things, and it's JUST as good as the others, if not BETTER!!! I adore this album and listen to it all the time!

NUMBER 1

2NE1-Crush
Okay, ya'll should've checked out my December Favorites, and if you haven't do it now! But in there I name 2NE1 as my favorite YouTuber for a good reason: the lead singing vocal, Bom Park, is being harassed by the South Korean media (this is a K-Pop or Korean Pop group, ya'll) as a "drug dealer" for taking prescription meds in the US for severe depression and anxiety. Once she moved to South Korea, she was getting it mailed in, but turns out her anti-depressants are illegal there. So she dealt with it, not a big deal, really. And the media has turned it into a circus. She's so depressed she's left the TV show she was on, as well as refusing to perform in public.
Her girls CL, Minzy, and Dara have her back, as well as her label head YG himself. But she's still depressed and scared. I don't want another amazing person to be lost to harassment. On Tumblr we've had too much of it, and I'd hate to have a repeat of Robin Williams.
This album was basically tied with Taylor's, but it's been out longer, and I got tired of hearing it all the time after. For the music alone, this deserves the number one spot. But I have to mention Bom, because I don't want another life lost to this kind of crap. We almost lost Fantasia Barrino to this, I don't want to see it again.
/rant

And onto my tracks, with some random mentions after! :)

20

Pentatonix - La La Latch (cover

19

Timeflies ft. Katie Sky - Monsters

18

Katy Perry - Dark Horse
(yes, I prefer it without Juicy J)

17

Idina Menzel - Let It Go
(Demi Lovato's is hella good too, but this one is better)

16

Ariana Grande - Problem

15

Zendaya - Too Much

14

Red Velvet - Happiness

13

AKB48 - River

12

Meghan Trainor - All About That Bass

11

Katy Perry - By the Grace of God
(Told you she had two. Both are amazing)

10

Charli XCX - Boom Clap

9

John Legend ft. Lindsey Stirling - All of Me

8

Amy Lee - Sally's Song

7

Selena Gomez - The Heart Wants What It Wants

6

Pentatonix - Love Again
(the second artist to be on here twice, because they seriously rock)

5

2NE1 - Come Back Home

4

Taylor Swift - Style

3

Kurt Hugo Schneider ft. Macy Kate and Austin Percario - Still I Fly

2

Lindsey Stirling ft. Lizzy Hale - Shatter Me

1

Linkin Park ft. Steve Aoki - A Light That Never Comes

HONORABLE MENTION

Becky G ft. Pitbull - Can't Get Enough

Favorite Artist of the Year: Lindsey Stirling
Favorite New Artist: Taylor Davis
Annoying Song I Couldn't Get Out of My Head: One Republic - Counting Stars
Weirdest Favorite of the Year: Iggy Azalea ft. Rita Ora - Black Widow
Favorite Music Video: Lindsey Stirling ft. Lizzy Hale - Shatter Me

WOW! With pictures this post is LONG!!!
Let me know if you liked the pictures, or preferred the shorter one with almost 0 pictures!
Hope you found some cool music to listen to! No two people like the same music, trust me. Hope you enjoy my random favs!

My Month in Pics ~11/1/2014 - 11/31/2014~

I told you I'd do more posts!

So I could've done this before I went on vacation but didn't want to. Plus I didn't have that many pictures. I was lazy this month. :)

BUT! I'm doing it now! Here's a crap ton of photos what I did last month!

This was actually from October. It's the pumpkin patch where I got those cute little pumpkins! Speaking of which, my mom wants to paint them silver cuz they'll last a while longer thanks to the dry weather we normally have.

So I HAD to take a picture because I managed to do the dutch braid, or braided crown! I watched a video from BubzBeauty and she finally explained it slowly enough to actually do it! I've only worn it once, but I may have to do it again soon! :)

I HAD to share this because EVERY book in The Heroes of Olympus, INCLUDING the final one end on cliffhangers. So that tag was JUST PERFECT!

On Twitter I had two cool notifications. The one about Whitney...that's pretty much how I felt. Too old to understand just what she was doing, but young enough to find it HILARIOUS! Her cat is just too funny!!!
And after reading and tweeting about Weird Things Customers Say in Bookstores, the author favorited and replied to me! EXCITING!!! It's hilarious, check out my November Wrap Up to learn more.

Oh man, I just sat there for about an hour, dying to read all of them! :)

This was my Thanksgiving dinner, which was actually the rehersal dinner for my cousin Erin's wedding. Megan/IK Scott was to my left and my cousin Amber was taking lots of photos and even a video of it. It was really good! :)

And there's Erin and her new husband Dominic! CONGRATZ CUZ!!

And me and Megan chilling outside the temple while my family figured out if we were going to be in more pictures or not. :)

And that was my month! Mostly chilling, reading, and then going to a wedding! :)

How was your Thanksgiving?

100 Books in 1 Year

Again, I do apologize for kinda abandoning this blog. I actually abandoned all blogs, every one of them that I read, as well as this one that I write. I'm on Tumblr, but mostly used it like Pinterest, reblogging others content and not posting any of my own. However, I'm determined to do more, post at minimum 1 blog per week on here, as well as post 1 thing of original content on Tumblr (though I'm still reblogging tons of stuff).

But this year I didn't have those goals in mind. I wanted to finish writing Warrior, and edit as much as I could. Then I found BookTube, and wanted to post at minimum 3 videos per week, and read 50 books that year. I'd already read about 20 or so when I found that community that I can honestly say I'm apart of, but was suddenly at 56 books and the year was about halfway done. I did some math and figured I could read just over 90 books this year if my pace kept up. So being the overachiever that I am, I made that goal 100 books.

As of 10 minutes ago, I read the final page of my 100th book. And I still have this entire month left to read.

Now, you may think that my goals were kinda lame, as get a car (which I did), or a job (which I did), or go back to school (HA! That takes SERIOUS CASH!) weren't there. But I've learned to take life one day at a time, or even one moment at a time. Life really sucks, and for some reason people seem to think it's a race. You have to follow the one track, and try to be better than everyone including yourself. I've learned that's not true. I decided to spend life chasing happiness, which honestly feels impossible to me. One minute I'm extremely happy, and then a few minutes later I'm terribly miserable. So I made 1 goal, uncertain that I could achieve it. And completed it by February. Everything I've done since then, EVERYTHING is a huge accomplishment to me.

Rediscovering reading, finding BookTube, learning how to film, edit, and post videos, reading a lot, becoming a maid, getting a car, all of these were incredible surprises to me. I've grown a lot this year, even though I still get so excited over things I hop, and I get so depressed I can't really function. Reaching this goal is just a cherry on top of a great year for me, when I was terrified that this year would be full of disappointment and unhappiness and trying to just hang onto the next moment.

I guess what I'm trying to say in this long-winded fashion is that I surprised myself, over and over again. I often wonder how many people actually care about what I do, since I'm not "moving forward" according to the normal raceway. Instead I'm making my own path and learning I love talking to myself, am WAY too obsessed about books, and hate editing my stuff. And learning that I really can reach my goals.

Check out what I read in the pics below, and if you want to see more info, check out my Goodreads Page.

I hope you guys are doing great this year. Even if you aren't, that was me for like, 5 years, so it's okay. Thing's WILL get better if you keep holding on and take life one day or even one moment at a time.

Gotta add this but YAY I DID IT!

Free - Poem

Bored (I was supposed to be out of town all day today, but that didn't happen), I wasn't sure if I should edit, write, or watch something. Decided to write, and found a poem floating in my head. It just comes.

Poetry is emotion written out. Writing is using words to paint a picture, but poetry is more free. It's just emotion giving words. It can be really free, empowering, etc. Today I went for something different. I dunno where it came from. Maybe I'm just tired of little peons thinking they're something and attacking people. If you're apart of Tumblr, you know what I mean.

So here it is. Free.

The world with its voices
Scream for attention
YOU’RE NOT THIS
YOU’RE THAT
NOT GOOD ENOUGH
NOT SKINNY ENOUGH
NOT ENOUGH
NEED THIS
ARE THAT

Lies

Those lies circle
Smelling your fear
Frustration
Anxiety
Like sharks
Hunting
Prowling
Demanding

It’s easy to let them rip at you
Naw at you
Tear you apart
It’s harder to stand
Look them in the eyes
Tear them apart

Remember:
THEY HAVE YOU POWER OVER YOU

Yes
Sometimes they have your mind
Your thoughts
Your emotions
But you can always take it back

It’s not easy
Hell, it’s almost impossible
But remember again:
NOTHING’S IMPOSSIBLE

Go ahead and cry
Wail and scream
Then let a new emotion come over you

ANGER

It has its power
And like fire it can consume
But you choose:
You
Or not
Inward
Or outward

I get angry
At the world
At myself
But mostly at the
Lies

At those that feed it
Knowingly or not
For there is evil
There is a master of evil
And he wants you destroyed
He laughs as we bark at each other
At ourselves

There’s nothing more satisfying
Than following that old advice
“Get thee hence!”
With real power
Real anger
It works

The world still lies
Still tries to break you apart
But in that moment
When the lies are laid bare
Your mind and emotions are yours,
You are truly you
And free

My Month in Pics ~2/15 - 3/11~

Hey guys!

I know, I know! I promised a week in pics...for a month. Yup, it's been THAT long! o.o" Whoops!

But just as promised, here all they are. There's quite a few, but here's just some of the things I've been up to including my fav meal at any restaurant, my Mi Niditos order!

(I don't know why, but this website put it up sideways)
I went to Bookmans in Feb with my mom, which is my fav bookstore. No underhanded tactics like at Barnes and Nobel, and you can trade in books and other things for credit! This whole purchase was under $25, and with credit was free! YES!

Megan was getting a light headache (turns out she was sick), so she had to wear my sunglasses...over her regular glasses. :)

Headed to Panda Express with my brother some weeks ago and got this as a fortune. I hope it's true! And it teaches patience, which I'm terrible at.

LA Knight was trying to describe a clock face...and this is what she described. BUT the final ver is so cool! Can't wait to talk more about LA's newest novel!

Another fortune from a different restaurant, Peking Palace (fav Chinese restaurant EVER). I hope it's true.

I attended the Gilbert Temple Dedication. Sadly my friends, brother and mom couldn't because of various reasons, but me and my dad enjoyed ourselves. I teared up during the dedication song. Everyone pretty much did.
Can't wait for the one in Tucson!

Mighty's been more and more cuddly and warm to me. He decided to sleep on the space between the bed frame and the mattress of the top bunk on my bunk bed. He was just so happy to be there! Cuddled with him quite a bit!

Been getting my reading on lately, so I picked up some books from the library! I have even more! Look for vids about most of these (not Endgame or Batman).

This past Friday we headed to Mi Niditos, my fav restaurant EVER. Got my normal, 1 order (3) of ground beef tacos and a side of beans. As you can see, I finished it ALL! I waited all day, having only breakfast so I was ready for this dinner!

So that was my past month or so in pics!

Anything cool happen to you? I've got some exciting things coming your way, including videos and something else!
